Tempeh Bacon
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. tamari
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1/4 c. oil (soy, olive or canola)
- garlic powder,to taste
- 8 oz package of tempeh, cut into small strips
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a large shallow plate or bowl. Add the tempeh and toss until well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4-8 hours. Stir fry in oil until the tempeh is brown and crisp.
